Ibiza 1.4 8v (95) Code Abd Alternator

i need a new alternator i think for my car as i keep ending up with a flat battery. its been happening a while now and im just fed up with it so im going to get a new one.
can anyone tell me what golf year, mark, engine size im looking at getting one from.

you may only need a new battery

it did it with my old battery and then i got a new one and it did it with that, so i guess the only thing left to change is the alternator

golfs or polos which are the same year as yours should have the same

if urs has PAS then it should be the same as the 1.4 caddy

i put on an 90amp alternator off a VW sharan on my old 1400 as i needed the extra power to run my audio set up. Standard one was i think was 40amp.
The VR6 alternator is the same.
