Tbh, if you have only passed your test 8 months the best thing to do is to wait until you have built up some no claims. This way you can afford something like an fr ibiza and not throw away your money on a 1.4. Subtle mods is all i plan to do until i have built up my no claims!

Good advice.

Theres no point wasting money on a 1.4 only to get little gains. Do subtle mods and make it look how you want, then in a year or two buy something better (FR/Cupra). This way you wont waste your money as you can transfer mods across to your new car.

mazz, quick question. Did you take the rear adjusters out to get the back to sit like it is in your sig?
And is it bouncy at all?

Sorry for the off-topic :p

Hmm.. I'm thinking of taking mine out to get the rear down a bit more, just worried about it being bouncy.
I might give it a try and see how it goes..

Thanks mate :)

If you want cheap insurance go for the 1.9tdi ibiza.
Then spend money on that, even if you want the 100bhp tdi you can still get 150bhp from it and insurance will be dirt cheap.
of go for the fr tdi and go hybrid, about 7k and its 240bhp
People might laugh when you turn up in a dirt diesel but it wont last long when you cover them in soot and take off

yeah mate save your cash, if you really want to spend money on your car then make it look good, alloys, lowering, tints, the lot! then after a year or 2 go up a size....

i went from a 1.2 corsa to a 1.9tdi leon in the space of a year...and the leons pretty quick tbh!

Ditto all the above, part ex it for a 1.9tdi sport rider or equiv. Then get a remap. A 1.4 Corsa would be eaten alive by a 1.8 FR/Cupra. Save the money to get something your happy with from the start and make small mods when you can afford it, if your not happy with your car to start with then you'll soon get bored.
