These are not original, I use BMW x6 hella bixenon projectors and philips 6000K d2s xenon bulbs.

They are working when the lights aren't on. They are working when you start engine or acc key mode also. But if you like you can connect the trigger to low beam or lighs. They have only two cables and they are red and black, red + / black - as you know.

ok so ive got the drl lights and noticed yours look flush, mine stick out. did you cut your grille? also how did you fit to the grille as ive noticed you cant get from underneath

Yes, You must cut the grill. And you must fit them by screws or slicone.
