got an ibiza 1.4 8v cool. just after some advice on everything thats needed

obviously engine, loom, gearbox, shafts, exhaust, can i use corrado hubs for bigger brakes instead of getting cupra ones? theyre cheaper for some reason.

ive got a general idea only things im a little concerned about is the clutch as mine runs the cable clutch through the dash, just wondered and easy solution for this as the gearboxes ive seen are hydraulic. also pretty sure my current throttle body is fly by wire so would it be simpler to by an engine with that throttle body rather than a cheaper AGU and then wiring, as someone told me part of the 1.8t engine looms are connected to the interior loom.

thanks

PS not to sound like a morngy bugger im asking this question because i want to do a conversion as a project in my spare time i dont want to go out and buy a cupra so dont leave comments saying go buy a cupra etc etc lol

Sure it would work out cheaper to buy a Cupra in the long run.

maybe so but i just fancy something different plus the cool i ahve at the moment is in real good condition no rust etc nothing so would make a good shell to begin with

Why go with a 1.8t that you can buy off the shelf as a Cupra? Why not something different? VR6 it!

I'd rather go 1.8t rather than vr6, we see a lot of vr6 turbos in work we build systems for them but not my thing,

Oviuosly he want a cupra engine otherwise he would of said vr6 lol or golf mk2

How abouts a 2.0TFSI,R32 or a R36 lump..be completely different rather than a boggo 1.8T which as said can be bought in the car anyway for a lot less than youre prob going to spend making your cool into a 'Cupra' as such

Not fully understanding the reason behind building something that can be bought out the box

id love to do something completely different i was looking at a 2.8 v6 4 mo lump but it just seems so much weight for such a small car ....ive been looking at the BAM engine then that way i can keep k04 as standard ...juts dont want to be spending silly money ill have a 3 grand budget maybe less im just concerned about the wiring and the clutch :S

just been looking at the VR6 is it an easy conversion? i was looking at turbo kits for the vr6 and can pick a kit up for about a grand bolt on but this only achieves around 290 bhp which if i was to ko4 a lighter 1.8t engine i could get near this power
