ibiza fr tdi pd screeching sound when accelerating

Hi

My pd tdi 130 has started making a screeching type of sound when accelerating, it seems to be coming from the egr area and can sometimes see some white smoke coming from the same area when revving, it happens in neutral as well as in gear however there is no loss of power, i found a video which is similar so you guys can hear it and help me out please.

Most likely a blown gasket connecting too the EGR. I had this and replaced it for about £5 with a gasket from TPS. You should see soot or something around the offending seal

Did you have the same problem as and is this the gasket which is on the pipe below the egr

It was louder but only because i was silly and after cleaning my EGR did not screw it back on properly and damaged the gasket. Yep mine was on the one just on underside of EGR

Mine did similar it was the exhaust manifold gasket over time got worse and eventually caused power loss
