Hi,

My garmin satnav system keeps shuting down autmatically while driving, the same as when you remove the key. Any suggestions, please?

Thanks

Most likely a bad connection mate, take it off and release the arm that fits into the dash. Replace the arm making sure you push down firmly to locate it then refit the screen to the arm.

Mine has done this on occasion never been able to pin point a trigger for it just possibly a glitch!
Annoyingly always seems to happen when using the sat nab feature in places I'm unfamiliar with so end up missing my turns!

I had a problem with mine, in that it stopped streaming music from the phone. I cleaned all of the connecting pins, between the back of the satnav to the dashboard base connecting pins. Problem all sorted after that, so may be worth cleaning them!

Maybe a complete coincidence, but when I was trying to decide on which "stand alone" sat nav device to buy years ago, Garmin always came top of the rankings for the one to cause this very problem, especially when changing scale/mode at junctions - as said not the most handy selling point!

Edit:- maybe another question to the OP, have you long enough to see if it was just rebooting, as that what was happening to the Garmins I mentioned above.

Thankyou very much. It worked perfectly after this procedure.
