Evening everyone. This weekend im goin to get my new car. Its a mk2 gti cupra sport. The car is standard apart from lowering springs. Im looking to modify it slightly. Im goin to get some coilovers a stainless exhaust and some new wheels in the future. What exhaust and coilovers dose anyone recomend? Also any engine mods that will increase power. The obvious ones i will do. Perfomance chip and induction kit ect. Can i get any other power gains? Does anyone run uprated cams? Any help will be great.

Cheers.

most people run hottuning/ta technix coilovers (same company, sometimes called Tech Art too)
(email edwin at hottuning dot eu saying your on SCN, suj sent ya, about £170 delivered)

wheels are all down to preference

i own a 16v, so will leave the mods to someone who knows :)

EDIT: hang on, sure it said 16v before? :S

I wouldn't have a chip, but dinky dave had highlift cams put on, and gave good gains :)

Yep definetely get the TA Technix coilovers. They are alittle bit hard but are excellent for the price, even on an everyday car like mine.

Exhaust wise either get a custom-made stainless system or get a mk3 cupra backbox. Looks really good with the twin tailpipes and is OEM.

As for anything else I will leave it to an ABF owner as I only have a 1.4.

as these guys mention ta technics coilovers cheap cheap,
air filters pipercross do 1,
exhaust super sprint to full exhaust including manifold
recomend doing polybuses and anti roll bars
brakes from a mk3 cupra R
20mm spacers(suj am i right?) on rear
MOST IMPORTANT>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>take the rear wiper off <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<MOST IMPORTANT
then you can think of doing more "Power" related mods

throttle bodies are expensive but worth the money
OR if your after MORE power (250+ do a mk3 dash + engine conversion) cost ya a fair bit but for the money its the easiest way to get power

Yeah can put 20mm spacers on
Only sissy's get rid of rear wipers ;)

Bubbleboy, they can be used for track, as they are hard, so will help, my car feels great on normal roads, I can literally throw it into a roundabout and it sticks like glue

I would recommend Bilstein! Whole different league compared to FK's I had lol

Arent they a lot more expencive compared to the TA:s!!? I would like to run som pretty cheap ones that does the job on the track, I dont need the best of the best. Altough I dont know which one to buy!?

Also, what anti rollbar are you running dave? cant find any one for the mk2 ibiza. Does the mk3 ibiza anti rollbars fit?
