Are all ibiza and mk2 golf axles the same width? By this I mean the distance between the insides of the strut monting points. The thing is Im trying to fit an Eibach Mk2 Golf arb and its too wide? Thanks.
Thanks for the reply, but I didnt think that the Eibach bar needed drop links. The guide in the info base doesnt appear to have drop links? Im trying to put it on a 1.4, so there may be a difference between mine and a gti?
Eibach for the Mk2 Golf doesnt need droplinks as its been made to fit a Mk2 Golf. Mk2 Ibiza uses a Mk4 polo rear axle which is narrower in width hence why your Mk2 golf bar doesnt fit as intended - you need to fabriate or purchase suitable drop links to tie it all together.
No, I mean I got the front and rear bars for £130. Didn't you have to make a bracket for the Neuspeed one? I've given up for today because I need the car. Im going to look out for some suitable droplinks this week or just make brackets up at the weekend. Will post pictures when finished.
Nice sturdy bit of metal either made from from say 6mm or more thick flat bar of some spherical tie rod ends with some kind of turn buckle arrangement.
you come off the ARB and either connect it up where the bottom of the suspension strut connects to the axle or drill anther hole in the beam to suit
Anti Roll Bars are a way of reducing body roll when cornering, as oppposed to using really stiff springs. They basically work by stopping the suspension being so independant.
