Hi all,

I've just changed the dipped beam on my Ibiza to the Philips H7. Now the light is very bright and whiter than the traditional yellow-ish colour.

I now would like to change the sidelights too, as they don't normally cost much at all. So was wondering, which sidelights you guys recommend? I've heard some LED sidelights will set off warning lights in the car, and I don't want that. It doesn't need to be LED, but just some good sidelights that give off a similar colour to the Philips H7 dipped beams.

I've looked around in the forums and have my eye on these on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BU501-P-Sidel...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item230f24d0c5

What do you guys think? Good/bad?

I'd expect any "blue" side light bulbs to be okay, even ones from the usual Philips or Osram - might be cheaper picking them up locally than getting from ebay - Halfords?

I would recommend these mate! Got 4 of them in my MK5 Ibiza 1.6 SC.

Doesn't set the dash light off either as they're error free :)

I have never had a problem with Police etc with them. For MOT's I always change back to my original bulbs just to be on the safe side.

But for the look you get it's 100% worth the change :D

out of curiosity how'd you manage to get the furthermost outward sidelight led bulb back in, mine wouldn't let me on my ibiza as the bulb plus plug were too long to git in the corner :(

I just kept fiddling with it until it would eventually go in, found it quite easy to be honest.

If you're still having issues send us a picture of where you're struggling!

I installed some canbus free but after about an hour they started playing up. Now my main beam won't work. And I noticed the cable is attached between the two. Is it the bulbs causing the trip?
