Hello everyone! I have been reading these forums for a while but this is my first post!

I have a 1.9TDI cupra which has been Remapped.

I am having a slight issue with limp mode, I have owned the car for 2 months and when in 6th gear on the motorway accelerating from 70 or 80 up a gradient the car goes into limp mode when I turn ignition off and start car the turbo comes back. No fault codes are thrown and so far I have:

Cleaned EGR with carb cleaner whilst running (can't get it off as there is a top strut brace I can't remove!)
Had every tank with either Redex or Vpower as I thought it might be injectors.

Have tried "italian tuning" up a big hill in third.

Next steps:

I am going to take off the bottom engine cover and check all the intercooler pipes and connections, I have tried a soapy water bubble test on all the connections I can see from above and as far as I can tell no leaks!

Log the boost vs RPM logs from VCDS as a graph to see if I am having any pressure surges.

If neither of these work then I will trying the mr muscle trick.

Anything else you guys would recommend testing/trying out?

I get a slight turbo wine in 1st and second gear at low revs (not there when revved in neutral) could the this and limp mode just be a sign my turbo is on its way out?

Thank you in advance! and apologies for the essay!

Thanks Cheshire Cat, I will check the Actuator as soon as I have the strut brace off!

I've heard it can be the vnt turbo, basically parts inside the turbo move so there's always as much thrust as possible, if these are sticking the car will go into limp mode,
