Rear arches are a much bigger job....I do have wide rear arches to go on if I decide to along with a wide rear beam but as the primary objective is going fast (and not necessarily just lookin good) I'm going to try it and see how it handles first - lots of hillclimbers go wide on front and leave the rear narrower

so see how it all pans out really

cheers

Awesome thread Rob, car looks awesome! I must admit to be somewhat aroused by the arches!!!! I think if the rears were done to, i'd be sporting a semi for sure!

Good luck with the season mate.

like many I have been following this thread from afar and the final pictures look fantastic.

Having heard what it sounds like that's one hell of a machine :worship:

Must be a relief everything starting to come together, panels, suspension and brakes etc assume some testing and setup time is needed now before you go racing?

Looking well hard - all the work, six months in the making (ish), job done :D

Phew, been a big job but just about got it done intime for some pre event testing - got MOT ok today, needs a bit more rollers time tomorrow to sort out a slight misfire at high rpm (7.8K) - picking up some HT interference from somewhere

Nearly there

Latest - got car back from Mikeanics - misfire at high RPM solved - the nut that holds the main cable to the starter motor had come off and at high rpm, the vibration of the engine was causing the cable to jump about on the terminal and spark - this spark was making RF signal which was interfering with the ECU - well who'd a thought it.

So the engine was sorted and I must say it feels a lot better now - must have been doing this for some time.

Mike took the car out on the road to try it out.....feels good......roadworks coming up and a column of delayed cars......mike decides to turn round in some guys driveway to avoid the wait and rips front bumper off. Nice one.

It never fookin rains but it pours. Gutted - my ace looking F2 replica is fooked already and the season hasnot even begun.

Oh and the washers packed up.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
