Hi mate, if you do a search on the forum in this section you should be able to find all the imformation you need. Thats how i found out about the issues with mk3's when i was looking. This topic has been covered loads of times

If you have any other questions that can't be answered after you have searched then post them up and i'm sure people will try to answer them

Well i've got a normal mk3 (not an R) and love driving it. Wouldn't change it for anything at this moment in time. Pretty reliable too and you can do a lot with the 1.8T VAG engine under the bonnet, there are a lot of VAG tuners out there so they will be able to sort out remaps etc for you should you want to take it that far.

If you read the threads in this section you will be able to see what people have done to theirs, what lowering kits to use, which alloys suit, brake upgrades, interior mods etc etc.

Its all been covered one way or another. Its a very popular car

Again, you be able to find that in the Mk3 section somewhere, i know for a fact that that HAS been covered as i was reading it a week or so back. The standard mk3 is 156bhp, the R is 180bhp, there are a few other bits as well. Just have a look.

cupra & cupra-r differences??

If you do an advanced search on the MK3 Ibiza section with the word "cupra" or "buying" in the title you'll find loads

I got over 20 pages of hits from "cupra" alone

well thats it i still want 1 no matter what really im looking at a mk3 cupra x reg wit 33,000 on the clock i cant find a cupra r forsale but it dont really matter to b honest

It's got 331560 at the moment but ill be going up north tommorrow for christmas so will be around 34000 after christmas. Are u intrested mate only problem is am in scotland.
