Howdy guys!

I have a problem with my Aura unit in my mk1 Leon. I don't seem to be getting any sound coming from the driver side rear speaker(s). Can anyone give me any advice on where / how to start detecting faults and how to correct them. It does seem to be an intermittant fault though. Most of the time it doesn't work, sometimes it does.....:help:

Any help greatly received!

I'd be very suprised if its not a loose wire somewhere.

Easiest way would be to pull the stereo out of the dash (using headunit key tools) - work out the the speaker wires (4 pairs of 2, colour coded into 2 per pair, one with a stripe to ID positive/negative)

If you have a old small speaker and some bell wire, wire the test speaker up and push the speaker wire into the correct series of speaker outputs, if the speaker works fine plugged into the rear drivers side speaker it would look like there is a break in the wire or loose connection on the speaker end terminal.

Take door card off, using the guide on here. Screw speaker out and look at terminals on speaker itself.
