Guys, do I need the stereo keys in order to re-insert the headunit? I can only assume so, because it ain't going back in :p

nope, have a look at the unit where the keys would slot in and make sure you haven't bent them so far out it wont go back in though

Oh, that sounds rather scary. I'm fairly sure I haven't done that. I'll remove the cubby hole, and fiddle around with the wires behind the headunit and see if I can get it in that way!

Its tighter than a nuns chuff back there, I had that problem twice in my first Ibiza.
I could get both the old and new head units out but never back in!
