Engine code ASV, Leon 1.9TDI 110.

Can anyone tell me exactly how to lower the engine idle speed on this engine using VCDS? What measuring block do I need to access, and what value is needed?

At the minute it's idling around 950rpm, and could do to be dropped to about 800rpm.

Thanks

Mike

You don't, 950 is about right for the tdi but if you think it's higher than usual it's probably the coolant temp sensor.:)

OK, thanks, that does make sense. There has been an issue with the temperature guage dropping to zero., but that seems to have righted itself.
I have got a new temperature sender unit, and it's getting fitted when the coolant system is drained, when the cambelt and water pump are done in the next couple of weeks or so.

Thanks again

Mike

It doesn't work in firefox or chrome anyway, it maybe just works for you because it's your site or something, I wonder if it works for anyone else.

"Can't find the server at www.lee69.co.uk"

I expect you've got the pages in your cache. Wherever you've got those pages served from, it isn't showing up to us in the big wide world.

Same problem with the link to your pdf manual, which is at "lee69.co.uk" i.e. without the www.

EDIT: you aren't in any DNS service I can find. So your domain name doesn't translate to an IP address, and we can't find you . This must have changed recently, as I know I could read the pdf manual on your site a little while ago.

Further Edit: WHOIS finds you to have the following status

Registration status:
Renewal request being processed.

Perhaps this is why you aren't in the DNS?

That's strange as i just accessed it from the wifes phone on 3g and it loaded up.
Never used her phone to view/log on it.
