My boost seems to be all over at the moment , it should hold 1.4 bar but seems to spike to 1.6 and drop back to 1.1 - 1.2 ish i did a maf reading and the most i got was 227 g/s at around 6000rpm.
I need to check actual vs requested boost but the car is at JBS tomorrow for a service so iv asked them to take a look . I cant see any obvious boost leaks and have even looked under the inlet mani.......any ideas ?

Join the club, I've given up on the N75/MAF OEM boost control. I'm fitting an electronic boost controller this week so I can dial out spikes and have complete control over duty cycle.
Gear based settings on mine too. Will take a while to setup, but I enjoy all that anyway.

Bill is doing this on mine when it goes in on the 2nd. Have heard nothing but good reports from other people who have had this done

be interested to see if you notice/feel any difference

All done , iv taken the hose from under the inlet to n249 and put it from inet mani to top of DV .
It seems to have made little differance but the needel on the boost gague seems to move a little smoother up n down (?) .
Iv also done some loging and still am only able to get in 225 g/s of air ( maff reading ) and requested vs actual boost is all over the place and cannot hold it at higher revs, so im a little miffed but Mike at jbs says if i pop it back they will take a closer look and even dial in a little more boost if needed.

i looked at a leon the other day to do a n249 bypass.

on the ibizas the n249 and n112 are the same unit/valve, but the leons have 2 different valve. which is n249 and n112?

I have thought of it , i commented the other day when someone asked about a race one ( H or J ) that i wish mine reacted quicker NOT slower.

caveo, they can just fail

when AMD put mine back together it was only boosting to .6bar...for no reason at all, car had only been sitting around

swapped it over and then back onto the boost - odd!

they're just solenoids with small holes to let air pass thru them so clogged or just wonky solenoids... they can go flakey for no reason sometimes

Took the car into JBS wednesday and they tweeked the boost to 1.5 all the way to red line and it now seems fine . I think it was boosting funny due to the old map , i meen 1.4 dropping to 1.2 at higher revs cant be right , you could feel it loose all chuff when it dropped to 1.2.
I also put in a new N75 which has sorted the overspike issus.
PS , its now hitting 237 g/s at the maff
