Immobiliser

Hi, i keep having trouble with my immobiliser. It only seems to happen if i have my car switched off for a short while like popping into Tesco ir something. The immobiliser light basically stays flashing and then will just cut the engine out. I have tried using my spare key and this is doing the same thing too. Will i require a whole new ignition barrel and programming etc???

is it a early ibiza with the 6 dial dash?,if so a its common fault do a search there's lots of threads about it

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I meant to post to say for people to not to worry too much cos after searching like you say i have found loads of similar problems. Still seems to suck a bit tho.

And it is an 02 plate remapped 130tdi with the 6 dials as they all are...
