Indicator always on

Hi All,

On my daughters 2016 Seat Ibiza the left hand indicator is staying on all of the time

If I flick the right indicator on then they all flash.

Last night the parking light was also staying on but that seems to have stopped today

It hasn't been driven much over the last month

Likely to be i BCM issue or something else?

Nothing showing on a brief check on an ODB reader, I havent done anything to it that may have caused it

The steering wheel stalks have been known to cause lots of faults in this "size" and model version of VW Group cars, ie across all marques.

I would add to @RUM4MO words that you need to use a VAG diagnostic tool as simple OBD2 Readers dont always give you the full picture.

I think that the trouble can be, as maybe in this case, that diagnostics tool would need to get used in "outputs" testing as some faults from the stalks switches will just "look" like a genuine demand and the indicators being on as being the correct response.

Anyone hoping that a fault will always get generated could be disappointed.

Indeed but unless you remove that issue (DTC) then you are making it harder to resolve.

This ended up being what the fault was. Diagnosed properly which showed the fault

Changed the stalk and all is fixed
