induction advise

hey folks

just lookin for some advise this seems like best place to post as the engine in my mk2 golf came from a MK1 Leon cupra

just had my exhaust updated today and its a hell of alot better than before so naturally lookin for some advise on the induction side of things, whats tried and tested by u guys any recommendations that i should add to my wish list at the moment ive just stuck a universal halfords air filter on it but to be honest its not exactly ideal

Jetex cone is used by most on here. Badger5 on this forum stocks them mate.

Model number is FR-07003 (70mm neck size). This is the correct size for a cupra 180bhp.

Cupra R neck is 80mm from the maf.

i had a piperX viper on my old cupra 180, was one of the best sounding cars iv owned bar the scoobys.
that and a 2.75inch cat back no mid box it made it sound like a VR6 then the dv sound through the filter on the gear change, ooohhhh i wish the lcr sounded like it....

thanx guys ill look into that sounds like it'll suit well as i had a full stainless jetex system fitted yesterday so keeps them both the same

and it's always better when u get something recommended by others who have used in the past

lookin at them just now and i see the model quote'd above (FR-07003) but is bhp rating is 310bhp

should i not be looking for something that has a rating of 180-200bhp ish?

Not really,
Their rated "Up to" 300bhp so once you have the car remapped... and you will you'll be seeing 230 if your an LC and 270 if your an LCR.

I had a 300BHP cone on my Ibiza Cupra which was a 180bhp remapped to 230-240bhp and it pulled stronger than most BMC induction kits.
