Ok before anyone says "use the search" i have done and it hasn't really helped me.

I am looking to fit an induction kit and DV and cannot decide what the best combo would be. The problem being i don't want the induction to sound chavvy but would like it to amplify the re-circ dump valve (i am yet to buy!!)

Initially i was looking at the Jabba induction kit but can't help thinking it might be a little dear for what it is!!! With a Forge DV but am unsure what results i am going to get????

Can anyone advise, or better still does anyone have any audio clips of there car with any given combo????

Cheers

Ralph

I tell you wot mate there was a thread which explained exactly this. Unless you have a remap you won't hear it that much anyway. I will send you a pipercross filter if you want!!!!!! Get it remapped and you love the noise, just not the performane.

U need an open filter, ie the cheap ones unless you buy the jabba one which is a lot of doh!!!!

Ibiza Cupra - how come ou took yours off then????

Confused about where you said get it remapped you will love the sound but not the performance - it can't hamper it that much surely????

I think i did read that thread you mentioned quite a long one - there seems to be mixed views about whether you will get any noise if you change the induction?!?!?! Badger says in the advert for the Dynatwist you get the subtle dump valve whoosh - sounds like it might do the trick but again its dear!!!!

Wot from my pipercross???? It sounds nearly like a rs tub!!!!!!!!!

I never heard this. Did you say your pipercross was from a corsa?

If so what engine size? I have a piper cross induction kit at home off my old corsa 1.2 16v.

Might try it for a laugh & see if its as good as you say?

Was never loud on my corsa. (the induction roar, obviously not the dv!!!)

It was off a 1.2 corsa b!!!! Had to do a bit of a bodged job as the diameter of the indution kit was the same as the maf!!!!!!

Maybe RS tub was a bit of an exageration!!!!! but was very noticable, turned heads!!!!!

The Dyna twist is a closed induction kit tho isn't it????

It is but the heatshield is removable, Ive taken mine off & its louder now. No difference in performance as the cold air feed is still attached.

Still sounds like vader tho, Sometimes I can hear him say "I am your father".lol.

Seriously tho, sounds quiet in the car, I got my mate to drive it up the road & it does whoosh quite nicely.

Well as it's an open filter ie makes the DV alot louder it also draws in hot air not allowing it to boost to full potential. With the std air box mine boosts to 16psi. with the pipercross on i was only seeing 14 on a cold morning / night!!!!

Mines from a Corsa C. Its still the same engine set up tho isnt it? The eco-tec 1.2?

Id be surprised if it did sound like an RS, My mate has an RS & that is fking loud

Hmmm have you got a boost gauge??? I reckon you will be losing boost.

but be careful, if you are gonna put it on for a rag down the road then fair enough, if you leave it on with out making it completely solid you will f*ck your maf as it doesn't like and vibrations let alone movement!!!!!

Nope, no boost gauge as of yet, so no way of actually telling. Doesnt feel any different in performance but then again, My cupra is slow cos its still pretty much standard.
I doubt it would be that much of a loss if your running std boost (i think the R's are 10psi.) when you get it mapped i'd stick the heatshield on. Remember i am running 6psi more than u therefore that will give more of a dump!!!!!!! ( i know only 6psi before someone says!!!!!)

I think my MAF is buggered anyway. Mine seems slower than most cupras. I dont have Vagcom so I cant really tell.

When I get it mapped I want it RR'd as well. Ive never had the RR done on it & it could do with being set up on a RR.

What re-map u running on your motor?
