hi all, thinking of getting a induction kit for my cupra 300, it already has a kandn panel filter, would a induction kit be worthwhile?

I’d say no, unless it’s a closed system. Depends why you want the induction kit. Noise? Increase in performance?

No reason really, it's quick enough for me, and sounds good with the scorpion exhaust, think I'll leave it, thanks for your reply

I can highly recommend a cheapo intake (Aliexpress) if you are not sure. It'll cost you about 100 euro and you can experience if you like the extra induction sound.

I liked it and sold it and bought a higher quality one (RamAir Oversized intake).

I will! The quality and fitment is ace, wayyyyyy beyond that cheap intake.

It's the kit that is top of my list as the metal intake pipe should enhance the noise. 2nd choice is APR open induction kit

I didnt pick the APR because of the 90 degree bend and the fact that you still have the stock intake pipe and elbow after (unless you upgrade it off course).

The ProRam is a total solution, with bigger elbow and v-banded to the huge intake pipe with built-in velocity stack. The drawback is that the filter sits sub-optimal compared to the APR. APR has a more direct path to the incoming air exiting the snorkel

My Cupra 300 came with an induction kit fitted. Very similar to the one above but branded. I removed it and put the stock intake back on. The only difference I could detect was intake noise. You could hear the turbo blow-off with the induction kit. You could not hear it with the stock intake.

I love the intake noises, but its not everyone's cup of tea. I found out that airfilters with a aluminium top hat give even more induction sounds compared to an open style air filter.
