i just want to know the type of bulb that is found in the rear ibiza bumper. the two lights in the bumper which illuminates the licence plate..

any ideas on replacement counterparts??

Its a "festoon" type, not sure what size. take it out and measure it. I have tried led ones and they looked great............... for a while then started blnking/flashing as some of the leds started to pack up. Gone back to standard ones now....

they are tube shaped with metal cones either end with an element that runs through the glass body

Pop into Halfords - they have little books that tell you what bulbs you need mate

Where did you get LED ones from? Or did you make the standard sidelight bulbs fit?

Just a matter of inserting a flat bladed screwdriver under one side of the cover, and it will pop off. Then pull out the bulb and walk into Halfords, looking for a match.

The bulb rating/voltage details can be found enscribed into the metal cones on either side of the central glass tube.
