Every now and then my infotainment reverts to the default settings, forgetting channels and tiles.
Anyone else seeing this.

You read quite a few with mib3 which is what yours is. The firmware release is useful to know for others.

The normal one of a complete reboot also works on mib3, the long hold on / off till you see it reboot. 99% it's on mib3 as well from memory. Programs can take a wander in memory cause difficulties or just a bug that might have been sorted out in a future release. Where a screen shot comes in handy of the firmware release on it.

Mib4 will be appearing on some Seat / Cupras come 2024 and 2025 you'd expect it on all models following the normal life cycle of mib releases.

This was a general question to see if others have the same issue, if they have, we can compare releases etc.
anecdotally it may be me setting off before the system has booted, or even changing keys.
Might try a hard reboot next time, but this is more of a full or partially reset. Sometimes it forgets everything, sometimes it remembers radio stations, it usually remembers attached phones

Do you ever get the message 'car settings have to be changed' or something similar? If you click okay then it resets to default for whatever had been updated. This used to happen all the time but after the latest update a lot less.

Mib3 is full of bugs but I'm not suppose to say that. Latter release of the firmware they ironed them out, hence why the firmware release is useful. If the car has been hanging around before delivery it may have missed them. Then there is the subject of online updates and partial ones. They can get both now so it may fix itself if it stays on long enough to take the update. Then ofcourse it could be a hardware issue. Some updates have to be done by the dealer dependent on release. They know.

The dealer will know which firmware it should be on now but so does the user community when you get them to step forward. I'd take it back to the dealer. The updates can be quite long.

Yeah it happens a lot. It's when the stored settings in Seat Connect differ to what the car thinks, so it'll revert stuff back. I get it at least twice a week where it resets my temperature settings and view on the dash.

Nope, just the settings have reset when it finishes booting, no warnings or questions

Unfortunately I've had this on numerous occasions. It's been to the dealer twice for software updates and seems pretty stable now, but not perfect. In the last 2000k miles / 8 weeks it's lost its settings once whereas it used to lose them every time I started the car almost!

Update: I swapped keys and got the ‘changing settings’ message, car successfully loaded the new settings.

The badge on the steering wheel isn’t helping either 😉
The VAG board did make the CEO of VAG walk the plank for Mib3 and the MQB Evo platform.... If that gives consolation. They used just in time software development and roll out using the online processes that didn't quite work out as planned. What it seemed like anyhow. So they had scalps for it. Came on the back of diesel gate.

Yes the infotainment is a bit buggy, I've had it forget the user/reset to default even though I'm on firmware 1940

This used to happen to me but since getting 1940 it has fixed a few issues. Even the favourites on the radio page is now central where it used to be a bit chopped off (if you know what I mean)
