travelling around France and all of the sudden car is jittering at low speed and when in neutral, pretty ok when driving but had jerking issues to at the beginning, though maybe the petrol was dirty as it happened after a fill in San Sebastian in spain (95 E5) went the first to Seat, reading was issue on cylinder 1, they changed the bobin and 4 sparkplugs, car running fine, when i called to pick it up, the issue reappeared, travelled to france with a fuel cleaner additive, refilled with 98, runned a full tank and stop in a Seat dealer in Montauban, no luck, their Mechanic left !!! doesn't give you confience in buying a Seat... anyway, new full tank of 98 with more additive, car running fine at high speed but still jittering on low, less jerking of motor, still having a good bit of mileage to go, called a Seat garage in Nimes, no space for a week, so left it to a sport car specialist, they swap bobin 1 and 2, car running fine in garage, left a couple of hours iddling, they call me to collect, start it and here we go again, it is jittering again, garage think the issue is the ^faisseau" what i guess is the cabling/spark plug connector the same fault is shown on computer, ignition in first cylinder. problem they can't check any further and i have to drive back.
Sorry for the lengh of post but needed to explain, so anyone having seen/experience this issue, can i drive 2000 miles without breaking anything more, is it easy to change the cabling? in garage would not tackle this as they are not even totally sure this is the problem. here.
Thanks for your reply
