I am looking at some 18 inch Inovit Tarmac alloy wheels for my FR TDI.

Is anyone running these wheels? if so I would appreciate any pics.

Thanks,

.
been looking at these myself.

Am I right in thinking the smallest offset they do is et38? do you need to run spacers with these?

My Leon is Plat Grey.

Not sure which colour Tarmac's to go for.

Do you have any pics of the CTS's on your Leon? Would like to see how they look if possible.

Would the offset on the Tarmacs be ok for a Mk 1 Leon FR? Or will I need spacers? Any advice please.

Thanks

gunmetal on platinum = sex.....

et38 will be fine, no spacers needed.

the cts come in et35 which is spot on.

iirc, the cupa r alloys are et38 anyway for brembo clearence they may be more??

I contact POTN for a fitment check on the 18" Tarmacs.

Their response was as follows:

"We have got the wheels in stock. The wheels come in et 45 so are a direct fit, you will need a 225x40x18 tyre.
All the fitting kit is included"

So they are saying ET45 would be ok, can anyone advise on this?

Is anyone running ET45's on a MK 1 Leon?

Thanks very much,

Anthony,

et45 will require a 8mm spacer min to bring back to et35-38...

id try to get the cts at 35mm offset.

got mine from the bay for 480 including tyres, budget but took them off, sold and got some falken 452s for them.

Thanks very much for the info.

Will running with 8mm spacers cause me any grief? and where is the best place to get them?

Cheers,

no grief, spacer on rear will widen the track and create a handling improvement.

best to get alloys that fit though, id rather get et35/38

I've got the tarmac in gunmetal fitted to my lc with an offset of 45 which as said is wrong.

I too was told they would be a straight fit, they do actually fit with no rubbing but the handling is terrible so i have recently bought some spacers to move the wheels out to a better position and sort out the handling a bit.

Basically if you were getting them try too get as close to ET35 as you can otherwise you will have too fork out more money for some hubcentric spacers.

See pic below spacers not yet fitted

are they 17s?

use 8mm spacers and youll not nessecarily need hubcentric or get hubcentric at that litle spac and itll bring it out to a decent et38

No there 18's although they do look smaller in the pics, could be something to with the car needing to be lowered.

I got myself hubcentric spacers because from what i've read on here the normal spacers are quite common for affecting the steering (wheel wobble) also i wanted to move my wheels out further than et35. I got myself 20mm for the rear and 15mm for the front.
