Inside edge tyre wear MK4 Cupra TDI

Just checked my front tyres, the inside edge on both of them is VERY low, one almost to the canvas, yet the rest of the tyre still has a good bit of tread left! Around 2-3mm anyway.

What would cause this? Tracking maybe?

Tyres are Uniroyal Rainsports, car hasnt been lowered.

fit new tyres then need to get a four wheel alignment that should sort it

Did you get alignment done after lowering it if not that is half your problem

Thing is it hasnt been lowered, still on standard shocks and springs! No idea where I would get 4 wheel alignment done up here, everywhere still has the good old mirrors, 2 wheels only haha

sorry mate thought it was lowered try a google search for four wheel laser alignment

Seems the Audi dealer in Inverness does it. Still a 140 mile round trip haha

Have to think something is bent or something has knocked the tracking out.

I'm running the RainSport 2s as well and they are wearing nice and evenly.

I've never seen a cupra that doesn't wear like that. It's the ridiculous front camber they have

It is best to do the geometry & then fit the new tyres, as the car is more settled before its jacked up. . .

I know it's a Cupra and so has the Cupra void-less bushes but the bushes could still have failed if it's got higher mileage .

As above, the bushes wont last forever so they could be worn.
Previous owner maybe had any suspension work done which altered the alignment.
Furthest place north that I know of is GT Tyres in Forres and also Clark Motorsport in Kintore and Wallace Performance in Aberdeen if you were ever down this way at all, bit of a trek I know

Yeah i had a similar issue before, bushes was my solution.

Had this on my pd130. Bushes replaced provlem solved.
