I guess not, considering I'm only 18 and 1 years no claims!

I was with admiral last year too, although they wanted £2200 renewal at first. A quick search on the meerkat saw me get elephant for £1250. Admiral matched it so with a 30 min search I saved £1000. Absolutely outrageous they rip people off so much!

Yeah when I changed from the clio to the Leon they went from like £4 something down to £2800 or around that. Good saving, thought that was pretty decent as im only 19 with 2years ncb :D

Seeing the excesses, DAMNNN!!!! Lol i was thinking though if you dont crash then theres savings to be had. I kept mine down to £250

That's why mine is at the highest possible. I have to pay the premium but as long as I don't crash then I don't pay the excess, so it works out a lot cheaper!

If you have an accident but its the other persons fault you still have to pay your excess initially until everything is sorted and then they refund it.
£1100 is a hell of a lot of money to outlay for maybe 2 weeks or more?

I see what you're saying, but if I took a low excess that the premium goes up and it's a high outlay for the whole year then!

Insurance companies are *******s. In fact everything about this country is only concerned with bumming as much money out of the hard working citizen as it possibly can.

I agree, there are far too many cases where claiming JSA and other benefits makes you better off than actually going to work. The poverty trap, and the only way to sort it is to reduce the benefits given out. If a person can work a week on minimum wage and come out with less than benefits it's completely wrong.
