I have recently noticed that the BOV on my leon cupra R, has been inconstistant. Some times it releases the air fine other times not at all..

The problem increased yesterday when i was driving along and i put my foot down, the turbo kicked in and blew the intake pipe off the mounted pipe.

Since this event, the BOV does not seem to be releasing air and keeps trying to push the intake pipe off when the turbo kicks in

If anyone has had this problem or knows what it could be, the help would be much appreciated..

Thanks
Danny

Its a forge 007... I have taken it off today and cleaned and serviced it. It all lokkes to be fine

ye the piston is fine. This is a new car and dont know how much boost it is running untill it goes into the garage next week. Also not ran any tests on it as of yet.

Yep ive double checked it is not the forge BOV. so what is the next course of action??

Ive just read on another site that if the Cat convertor is clogged it can casuse excessive backpressure and stop the turbo from developing its normal boost pressure..
Thefore no boost = no BOV

Does this sound like a possiblity???

If its blowing pipes off it sounds like you do have boost.
Throttle body not working properly?

If cat was blocked id have thought it would have thrown a fault light.
Clutching at straws really....

There is no boost gauge fitted. I'm guessing in will need to go to a garage and hopefully someone can tell me whats going on....

Thanks for the help guys

Mine is doing this as well, 1st and 2nd gear is horrible, boosts up on its own and then dumps immediately. Checked on vag-com but doesnt mention n75 valve. Would the n75 throw a code if it was faulty
