Hey guys, Im planning on getting a custom intercooler made next week. Got some basic dimensions and so on but the manufacurer would like exact dimensions and photos to aid him.

So id get grateful if you could post some pics (preferably with bumper off) so he can see how its mounted.

Many thanks guys...

or have a look on ebay.....it will save you money on having one made but unsure as to any real benefits, might involve a fair whack of cutting the bumper too unless you decide to relocate the radiator back. its not for me......

Guys Ive had a search already came up with dimensions of 19"x9"x2.5" however Im unsure as to whether thats the core of the whole unit.
Also id like other dimensions to work to. (then I know limits etc..)

Also outlets are they 63mm?

Im not getting an ebay jobbie as there not pressure tested.

Thanks Fred.

How do you know??

A member on here (Black 20v Turbo) has recently posted a thread on this matter, he fitted the £100 ebay one and did a really good job of it.......there arent any logs to prove the intake temps etc but he says that the car pulls alot better through the rev range now so something must have worked

And it was only £100 ish plus the pipework.....

Thanks for the links, I saw the 1st one but not the 2nd.

Yeh I appreciate people have gone the ebay route and they have been successful however Im a bit weary (just my opinion) Just would rather pay a bit extra and get a product built for me that I know is hand-made.

Like I say just after dimensions and pics if you have them, not out to cause another 'which cooler is best thread' as theres far too many of them. :)

Cheers again.

Can't seem to get that link to work.

Am I right in assuming the inlets and outlets need to be 63mm (2.5")?

Also do they require a 2" core for maximum airflow?

Fred.

if its gonna be handmade anyway, wouldnt it be just easier to buy a forge one and know that its gonna work rather than guess at inlet/outlet diameters and flow rates and possibly lose pressure??

a handmade one's gonna cost you a fair whack anyway, then you've got the price of the hoses and the fitting itself.
