Intercooler pipe

I was wondering if I should be as worried as I am really...

Basicly my intercooler pipe popped off this morning, and cut a nice hole in it, by rubbing on the serpintine aux belt. (I think it's the water pump, the first one you see looking down?)

Apart from the obvious lack of power, and a **** load of smoke, is this doing any more seriouse damage, (to the turbo etc?) as I still need to use my car tommorow to go to work, and pick my new pipe up..

Try using duct tape on the hole as a temp repair and replace the the hose if you can access it.. Have driven mine after hose popped of once but with no power and smoke i would recomend you only drive to a garage

i have bodged it up with pipe for now. done 24 miles with it screamin its tits off, have to do another 2morrow to get to work, and collect the pipe.

Got one direct from my local stealer. Not a bad price..

get some new spring clips while your there only a couple of quid, NB there are 3 different types

Got new pipe.

had a diagnostics check today aswell, everything is A-Ok
