Carefully :lol:

I cracked the lense on the drivers side doing mine. There is a spring clip under the lining, I think to the right of the light. Flat bladed screwdriver should release it. They were both very tight in mine.

Part number for the black one is 380947113 if you need it :whistle:

Spent about half hour trying to pries the covers off the vanity lights without breaking them and gave up in the end. Then tried removing the whole unit from the roof and bingo!! Took all of 5 seconds. LEDs now in those too.

Next step is the LEDs in the footwell

Sorry I should have explained better. Yeah you remove the whole unit but both of mine were so tight in the roof lining I cracked a cover. At least it sorted :)

I was thinking of maybe doing 2 strips in the footwells. One white either side linked to the interior lights so they only come on when unlocked and doors open etc and one red strip either side linked to the headlights so they're only on when the headlights are on. Not sure yet though. Gonna go with just the interior white ones for now and see how they look then decide.

I will be attaching both red strips to the headlights as you suggested above, hopefully goes well... I'm hoping the led interior lights in white will be bright enough...

Right can anybody recommend what LED number plate bulbs to buy that don't give you an error message please?? I have a 2010 Leon 2.0 TDI CR FR! Maybe somebody with the same car has bought the correct ones and could post a link?

I thought that i would avoid cheap 'eBay' ones so bought a set from 'HIDS-Direct' for £15 which claim to be 'Error Free' but i get an error light/message.[:@]

Cheers

These were the ones i bought-

I have recently done mine and had to order different ones as didn't inspect first.
I have a 61 plate Leon. In the end I used;
1x 42mm festoon for boot
2x 36mm festoon for rear interior
2x 36mm festoon for front vanity/mirror lights
3x W5W for front centre light cluster/dome
1x W5W for glove box

I personally bought them all separately from Fizzmo UK's eBay shop as found it about half the price than a kit. But I'd suggest you check first anyway, only takes 5 mins to get all covers off. But it is a GREAT upgrade!

Thanks for the help :)

So 4x 36mm festoon, 4x W5W and 1x 42mm festoon in total.

Which bulbs from their shop did you order? There seems to be 100s of different versions of each type of bulbs :blink:

Apologies if this is against SCN rules (if so admin please delete)

W5W- these are best as other ones didn't fit correctly (these do but need a bit of a push)
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4x-ERROR-...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item43aa200aa0

36mm- these are fine
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-3-SMD-...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1c2697d5bd

42mm- these are nice and big with loads of LEDs and are bright;

But genuinely the service from these guys is exceptional, had a small problem with one bulb and they sent me another replacement out straight away! Delivery is always 48hours max too!
