Interior lights sensitivity

Are anybody else's interior lights absolutely hopeless to turn on/off? I've tried touching, waving my hands over them, pushing them etc. But only once in a blue moon so they work. I tried whilst at the traffic lights tonight and it came on after 2 or 3 attempts, but then wouldn't go off! So I had to drive the rest of my journey with the light on.

I know they can be a bit finicky, but this is taking the piss. If only the engineers had the foresight to make these button operated and stick a few LED's in the temperature controls. ?

I have the opposite problem: if I so much as wave my hand in the general direction - tilting the sunroof, for example - I somehow manage to turn on at least one of the lights.

That button switches them both on. But if you just want 1 on you press / tap the light itself.
From the manual:

Im glad you werent offended.
At first read it didnt make any sense, like a code to get to the gold.
Work today has done strange things to my mind

Mine are doing this since last update in Nov 2023. They don’t come on when the door is opened. Can’t press them on and in the rare event I get them on I can’t turn them off
