Hi, im new to the forum, but have been looking for months for anything that can help! I have a 2007 mk2 leon fr170, so the pre-facelift model. I got it a few months ago but i dont have the aux port, but the optional ipod dock under my drivers seat. However, i use spotify and dont have an ipod, just my phone. Therefore, i really want an aux! Ive looked everywhere but cant find any way. I brought a female 30 pin ipod to aux cable and it doesnt work, and also got a bluetooth 30 adaptor but that doesnt work in the car either! i just want to wire it in or whatever. Anyway, sorry for the long post. Thanks in advance :)

For aux you'll probably have to get a headunit that has an aux port in it.

Or have an OEM aux port retro fitted.

Guessing you don't have an iPhone?

I don't, android :( I've looked into after market head units but I only like the look of double din ones in such a big space, but they are all around £150 then wiring and fascias and that. Just wondering if there is any way to re wire the iPod dock to an aux? Thanks for the quick reply

I was going to say an iPod to auxiliary adaptor but i see you've already tried that... Strange that it didn't work. Have you tried someone's iPod/iPhone to make sure that's working?

Yeah ive tried an ipod touch, and it worked fine but wouldnt charge it. I was thinking maybe thats why the Bluetooth adaptor wasnt working, because it works on my speakers in my house. :/

Sound like it's the dock... I'm sure an auto spark could wire in an aux port for you somewhere no problem. I hate electrical gremlins.
