A quick tip for Ice>link users and something I found out by accident..

The headunit picks up 5 of your playlists and cdc button 6 accesses the ice>Link config.

My Advice is to have your 5th playlist empty.. certainly with mine when I access a blank playlist it loads the menu someone mentioned a few posts back. This then allows you to choose any playlist on the ipod so theoretically you could access much more than 5 play lists.

I dont think this is suggested in the manual but then I haven't read it entirely.

Also this is only really handy if you have your iPod screen in view.

I'm having problems with my Icelink

Got the correct quadlock cable, took the head out (bottled it and went to the local dealer to have it removed - since they wouldn't sell me the correct tools) plugged the cable into the back, plugged the Icelink in and then the active cradle - the iPod charges (connected the earth cable) but the first time the iPod is plugged in it seems to sync with the head as a Sony, even though the head has a label that says Blaupunct.

With everything connected, pressing the CD button just gets the response no cd no matter what I do.

My dealer fixed my ice link yesterday, it turned out to be a faulty unit which they replaced.

It's working now but track names etc. aren't displayed on my HU. Is there anyway of getting it to do this??

I have the standard FR HU, mp3 cd player.

Thanks

I'm not aware of any way to do this, there is a firmware upgrade available for the ICE Link that supposedly passes track info to the head, but I tried it and it made no difference.

Hi, I need to remove the radio to sort a rattle. I don't have any special radio removal keys or anything and cannot find info' on how to do this anywhere I have tried. Please could you enlighten me on safe and easy removal of the radio? Many thanks.
