What is involved in buying a used revo and is it safe?

Will there be any problems for the car changing from REVO back to standard and visa versa?

u need vagcom to match the ecu to the new car but iv heard its easy and theres a guide on the website too

a used revo?
do you mean an ecu with revo installed? reverting to standard wont cause any bother at all, in fact they sell a switch so you can do exactly that for service and valet reasons.

Yes i mean a revo'd ecu. Will a revo dealer be able to do vag-com or should i find someone with one to do it?

i've done a fair few swaps - easy to do & only about 10 mins work

if the revo dealer hasnt got vagcom you might need to have someone local with it especially if you are fitting the ecu to the car there and then.

My REVO is 2nd hand, works a treat. Bill swapped it for me in 10mins.

I did it on my last car all you have to do is code the key to the new ECU really quick job.
