is it possible to increase the brightness of the rear lamp when not braking?

this is what my my rear light looks like

If you mean the rear DRL function, then no and I don't why anyone would want to - it's set to the correct level to not blind people following you at night.

During the daytime then rear DRL is pretty pointless but it's supposed to prevent muppets, who keep driving after dark with just the front DRL on, from causing collisions.

Aye some daft idea's why would you want to increase rear brightness? to blind me driving behind you?

You wont ever see your rear taillights anyways unless you have some out of body experience so what's the point

Like paying the extra £ for sweeping LED indicators, which I'd only ever see the day they collect the car from me and drive away... pointless
