isit just me that can't see naff all due to mist?

Door seals all re-done checked the cabin filter this was fine, this seemed to be a success footwells have started to dry out how ever I have excessive mist on all windows front especially, not that I have plans to use it at all but air cons not working, when I press the button it doesn't stay on, I no the mist is usually assosiated with dampness but this is beyond a joke at first the mist used to go away slowly with the climate control on now it does eff all. Anyone?

if your in the uk and its cold air con dont work till 5 degrees also it will take weeks to dry out after you stop leaks

Ahh I see, that explains a lot, I think I'm going to go to the vallet place to get them to wet vac the carpets see if this helps with the moisture, thanks for your responce though matty85

The underlay holds alot of water & until its been taken out & dried properly u'll get condensation

Spot on.
With the carpet allowing little air movement to the underlay it'll take forever to dry out.

Anyone know of a decent cheap one, had a look on the bay and they are about £30, but not sure how good they are ?

They use em to dry out flooded houses and you can pop em in a room with wet clothes and speeds up the drying alot! Ask family etc, its the sorta thing someone will probably have.

Its obviously not going to solve my problem in the long run but I'm impressed by the cheapo demister sponge I got from asda works magic in comparison to wiping it with a cloth or other pieces of material I've previously tried. I'm gonna try the wet vac and dehumidifing method first don't really want to go down the long route off taking the carpet up.

Surely not that hard to the take the carpet uo? I seat remove is under 5min job.

As others have said, get a wet hoover on it, good opportunity to give it a thorough clean. Either hire a big electric dehumidifier which will get the job done quickly, or buy a couple of the little ones that you take out and recharge when they get full, they will probably take a wee while to dry the car out properly but just keep them in there.
