Would be nice i agree... i dont even use my iPod now as it sounds awful... have you changed the wires over so it at least sounds ok, if so what ones do i change?

I initially thought that, and went venturing off in search of wisdom and enlightenment on some Audi forums...

There are some nice enough folk on there, but if I was absolutely honest I find the depth of information on here to be better. If you are looking for info on car specific warranty recalls or common faults then the Audi sites can be useful, or maybe reports about a specific mod for your car, but TBH I still always find myself coming back here. Also their membership numbers are lower than here so threads don't get answered as quickly / so often. For fear of sounding harsh I've seen elements of the 'boys club' mentality, and unless your in the 'in crowd' or prepared to kiss some a$$ to get on you can sometimes find these sites a bit of a lonely place.

My S3 is a Leon Cupra with Haldex as I see it, so the Cupra info is useful to me, and I don't get treated a total outcast for having fled the big S.

Sorry to hear your Leon experience hasn't been everything you wanted, your car may have dropped over £475, in the last couple of months mine has dropped £3.5k!!! Cars, never buy one as an investment, they're a cruel mistress!

Yeah, I've already discovered the Audi Forums are a bit quiet... Strange...

The Leon has been ok... ish... But it doesn't rate highly on my car list:

The MGF is only ranked so highly because, although various bits fell off it whenever you went over a bump it was great open top fun. Very chuckable and rear wheel drive. But not very fast or refined!

OMG I've just realised there are some awful cars on there! And what does my list say for the 307cc?!

Hmmmm, 307cc; don't quite know where to start with that

As for the MGF.....

The Audi dash is nice, but don't think its all without issue. I have dash rattles, and in 14k miles have has new rear diff, new clutch, DMF, MAF sensor, damper OSF. Customer service/dealer aftercare can be patchy too, but no worse than SEAT.

I can highly recommend Oxford Audi and Northampton Audi if you happen to live in the vaccinity of either. Avoid any on the M4 corridor like you would syphilis.

Hey, the MGF was my first 'nice' car...

A bit limp on performance but very nimble.

Thanks for the dealer tips but I'm up north... Marmitehampton is just near Newcastle.
