Well here's the next hire car... Ford have delayed my car again which is nice... Now the 1st June...

I can safely say I will never moan at a slow car off the mark again this thing is as quick as that skip next to it lol but at least it's a manly colour...

They do a 5 door countryman, my old boss had one as a loaner from BMW.

Well here's the next hire car... Ford have delayed my car again which is nice... Now the 1st June...

You would indeed, ordered it late November and since Feb they have pushed it back 2 weeks each time with some excuse... It's getting quite annoying lol but like you said I have become a tester for the other shite cars around haha I may do a review on all 4 of them when I get mine keep me busy...

I must say next time I think I'd go back to vag but I just fancied something new lol

Funnily enough I had an i30 rental a few years ago (previous generation) that had a massive 107ps. I quite liked it, it led me to buying my Kia C'eed, albeit with a 2.0crdi not a 1.4 petrol. It was the quality of the car that surprised me the most.

I must admit this engine is shockingly bad for power (Torque), I feel like I am banned to the left lane (Slow lane) so I don't inconvenience anyone trying to go faster than a snail...

The interior is pretty basic on mine but the top model (1.6T with 183 ponies) seems to have a very nice interior... this one is quite basic so I am not too keen coming from a Mini with quite a few extras...

But at least this one is not a female colour and this also has a sizable boot which for my job is needed...

I think the mk2 i30 is also heavier and 10bhp or so down on the mk1 I had. Don't get me wrong, it was not fast but is was fairly smooth and the basic i30 was nicer than a basic Golf (we had one of those) or a basic Focus.

Yeah I have not had any issues on slip roads etc which I have with all the other cars...

I like the sound considering I have heard 1L cars sound like a lawnmower lol

Plenty of Tech for me use as well

Driven a Seat Mii 1.0 3 cylinder and it sounded like a mini V6 that had no power lol

I had the same experience with a Mii, was loads of fun winding it up to speed! Really enjoyed it for the day I had it, just wish they made a cupra model. 125bhp or so and 3pot noise would be a right laugh.

Well 975 miles done in a week and I've broke it...

Going down the a1 today and this slapping noise started... Looked in the bonnet and found a lose bit of the alternator belt hanging off, called Mr AA and he spotted that it has sliced through the rubber on a few wires going to the fans and made the tube thin on the coolant tubes...

Going in tomorrow to get it sorted least I don't have to pay lol bit weird I've never seen just the middle of the belt come loose and start whipping everything...
