David Cook phoned me today to let me know my order was underway for a new FR 1.8T in Black magic. :happy: I can't wait! They reckon delivery will be about 3 weeks as they couldnt find a black 20v anywhere in the UK (because its a petrol) and it's in a spanish port somewhere at the mo. The slowest 3 weeks of my life!:cry:

Gonna be a change since my car list at the mo was a mk2 beezer (60bhp) and my current 206 (75bhp!)

Got some ideas for it in mind (LCR splitter fairly soon and mybe chrome vent surrounds)

Then maybe a year in, REVO and the other associated bits.

Will post some pics up when I get it if I ever get out again to take them!
 
Lucky you. Sound nicer than an oiler!! got chrome surrounds and chrone gear chanfge surround. really lifts the inside. just wish there were chrone dial surounds for mk4s as the gauges need a lift.

well done mate you will love the 1.8 20vt engine loads of tuning choices! from remaps to bigger turbos!

I too ordered a black Fr the same as yours. I too was told there were none in the UK and mine was being built specifically for me in Spain and then shipped over. Only that was 7 weeks ago tomorrow!! Is it sat on my driveway yet? Is it f............!!!! They also said they'd let me know the exact date approx. two weeks in advance so I could sort out my insurance etc, etc. Have I heard from them yet? Once again, have I f.......!!!! So, going by that, i'll have been waiting a minimum of 9 weeks. And a maximum of who knows? A year? I could have built the b*stard myself quicker than that! In Spain! And then driven it back. Although maybe your guy at the dealership is more reliable and it will be only three weeks. Which means mine will be ten. Nice! It sounds like they were waiting for a load of orders for the same one and then knocking a load out all at the same time. So you should thank me for starting the ball rolling two months ago!!! Haha. Oh well. Good luck mate and let us know when you get it. If it's before me, i'm coming to find where you live!! Lock it up well! Haha
 
congrats mate, you will love it!!! as people have said, lots of tuning potential and they look even better aswell....especailly as you got it in the best colour!!

i had to wait 2 weeks for mine aswell when i got mine, think it was on a ship coming over from spain aswell..was the longest 2 weeks of my life and it was all i cud think about!!

get some pics up when you get it!!
 
I'm guessing the guy meant there was ONE waiting to be shipped over that wasn't spoken for. At least, i'm bloody hoping that's what he meant!! Anyway, hopefully that means that mine is also there waiting to be brought over. Ours'll be brothers! Or sisters, or whatever. How can they take three weeks to get here by boat? They could come from South America in that time! Anyway, let me know if you get yours. And i'll let you know how I get on. If i've heard nothing by next wednesday, which was the date they told me it would arrive by at the latest, i'm ringing up and kicking off.

one word for you, complain like mad mate similar thing happened with me mate just didnt get back to me so i blagged it that my insurence company had put there prices up and because i didnt order the insurence i lost it"most unbelievable story ever but it worked" i moaned and groaned about it and got £250 off!! and my car wasn't due in for 2 weeks but whilst i was moaning the manager called the company that was transporting my car and had it shipped especially early and it came in a week early!! not that i could drive it untill the 1st of march anyway but it was ue in the day before which made things really tight for me to be able to drive it away on the 1st




Nice choice of car mate i really wanted a petol but the amount of miles "7800 since the 1st march" i do i needed diesel i was also going to go for black but i like the way on the yellow the grills stand out more but then its non-metalic so doesnt shine as much lol
I think the wait for a new car is possibly the worst feeling in the world i kept driving round and looking at it in the carpark i was trying to convince the sales guy to let me take it for a spin but he convinced me that prob wouldnt be good if i was caught lol

I wanted such a high spec car when i ordered they told me it would be a new build, but anyway they looked online and found nothing near what I wanted. I basically had to take what was there, as my trade-in price was guaranteed for 12 weeks...I was gutted. Anyway I took the closest I could get hold of, Zenith with Luxury pack added a few bits and bobs ;) and still I had to wait a month for delivery. longest four weeks of my life! Well made up with it tho now approaching her first birthday in my care, nice to drive and everyone is envious at where i work! Good choice of car mate...post some piccies when you get her! :p
 
I do fully intend to complain my ass off at them but to be honest, i'm not very good at it! I'll start and then they'll come out with their bullsh*t and i'll go, "oh, right, OK, nevermind!" Haha.
I like the idea of telling them my insurance quote has gone up though. I think they should give me summot free. Or money off or something. Gits.
It's a pain in the a*se having to wait for 7 weeks! Especialy when I don't have a car at the minute. It's starting to feel like I don't even have one ordered anymore. I'm beginning to think me going and ordering it was all a dream! Can't wait until I get it now! Can you imagine how bad it is waiting for nearly two months!!??!! I'll get some pics on here as soon as I get it.

I got a phone call this afternoon from a guy at the dealership who told me he is replacing the original guy who I dealt with because he had left the company. Anyhoo, he said that mine is currently on the boat somewhere as it left the port about a week ago and that it should be in the country in about a week and i'll get it in about three weeks. Which ties in with what Chris said originally. So we will be getting them at the same time. Ish. At least that's cleared things up a bit and I have more of a definitive date as to when I get mine. And I know it's definitely not mine that Chris has nabbed! Haha.
 
What?! I'm glad you've told me that after i've been told mine is on the way! Otherwise i'd have cried thinking I may have that long to wait. 2 and a half months is more than enough for anyone to wait. Not seven!
