fair enough mate. if thats what you want then it'll be money well spent! i'll admit it looks a lot better than the neuspeed filter.

no it uses the big blue filter and sucks the air in from the surrounding area.

By having the heatshild the amound of warm air is dramatically reduced

i was wondering what that big blue thing was! what i meant was now the filter (that big blue thing) is isolated from the rest of the engine bay where does it get a fresh air supply from? if it was completely enclosed with nowhere to get air from surely it would make the engine almost asthmatic and reduce power!

You have a point, however i can only guess that it draws in the air from round the edge of the bonnet. but without seeing one in the flesh i dont entirely know. Surely Jaabasport wouldnt make it so that the filter cant breathe, they must know what they are doing.

Does someone with one know if there is an airfeed to this??

I've got one on the LCR too, bargain off ebay! Theres a cut out in the bottom corner of the heatshield to allow a duct through to the filter. I tried to get the standard plastic one to fit but couldn't get the sheild to sit properly so will run a seperate feed up sometime. Have found that there is still a heatsoak problem when it was on the rollers before Christmas, but no worse than with the standard box on.

For £230 i couldn't justify it, mainly cos i feel i could make the sheild at work and buy a JR filter for £20 at inters, but for the £50 i paid, it saved some work!
