Perfect for the job.

I had a jack pad like this one and it was too narrow for the jack point on the sill.. It ended up taking paint and underseal off the jacking point through to the primer!

I then had to re-apply stonechip coating, paint and clearcoat over a course of days to get it thick enough before covering again in some wax spray. Not difficult to do, but a pain! and 4 days of crawling about on my a**e on the drive with a paintbrush!!

I've since looked at loads of the (VAG) cars in the work car park and they all have split or cracked paint on the jacking points.

I had a Vauxhall that was better in the sense that the jacking point on the seal was a separate piece of metal covered in much tougher matt black paint.

The top pic is after one coat of grey stonechip, the second after two. I applied three in the end and three coats of SEAT touch up paint

These are a snug fit but not enough to mark the paint. The material used also has a small amount of malability.

Let me know how you get on with yours cat... I had exactly the same pad, but I notice it is available in 8mm and 10mm slot.

My damage wasn't a problem as I touched it in immediately. It didn't take the zinc primer off, just the soft underseal and paint..
