If we're talking peak power - 180 > 205bhp.

But the midrange increase as the turbo comes in is another story... Much higher torque.

It's not actually that bad. The only pain was mounting the IC in a place where it didn't hit the aircon rad, and getting the joining hoses the correct length to join the OE hoses.

Apart from that, the disassembly and putting back together were pretty simple!

Lovely Cupra mate as I've said before.

How're the Eibach coilovers?

Also, I've read that the Revo map is considered too aggressive, is this the case or not?

Hi Matt,

Eibachs still hadn't arrived, after 8 weeks. They said it would be another 2 weeks making it 10, so I cancelled.

KW V1's on their way now as the lead time is 5-10 working days.

I don't know how I would answer the question about the Revo map being aggressive. Seems fine for me I love it. My soft misfires happen at low revs part throttle, so not even stressing the car at all!

Ah you'll have to let me know how you get on with them then, as I'm looking to get KW V1's as well.

Even slight misfires would worry me I think! Although, even though I have an early CAVE engine I barely use oil so I think a Revo may be on the cards.

Intercooler looks good too!

I bet everyones car does these soft misfires but they just don't know it. Not everyone has access to VCDS!

Get the Revo mate, you won't regret it, def worth investing in VCDS though.

Already got it mate, Dad bought it for his B7 RS4.

£260 for that or pay Audi £600 to reset a service light...

Well worth the investment I have to agree with you!

Nice car mate, how much power will these 1.4 engines actually cope with?

Depends what you mean by "cope" mate.

It's all about preventing misfires when getting highly tuned. Stage 1 & 2 are fine (up to 220bhp). Once you start going to hybrid turbo territory (250-270bhp) your main battle is the misfires. Engine internals can take way over 300bhp so I hear.

Heat is also an issue on these engines, so the higher output ones have upgraded intercoolers and water meth injection too.

They look so good compared to JOMs or FKs I've had in the past.

Think I need to get saving...

Fair enough, makes sense really especially if you haven't used them!
