Going to be ordering a 70mm Jetex filter later on this afternoon, however i want to position this in the wing.

Does anyone know roughly how much extension is needed to get this there? I've found a fair few 150/100mm silicone couplers, but wondering if this will be enough, or even too much?

Thought about it, didn't want to do that, but thanks anyway.

There are a fair few variations on here, including people using 1 silicone piece or using a combination of 2 silicone and 1 aluminium coupler. So ideally a size guide would help to make the best decision

I bought a 100mm silicone joiner and a alloy silicone joiner. That pushed my air filter right to the wing perfect if u ask me. Only thing is at the moment I haven't got a heat shield made yet so I have just kept the bottom half of the airbox fitted. (Keeps it sturdy so the MAF won't get damaged) seems ok but I don't think it will get enough air to it like this so a heat shield is a must.

Looks good mate. By looks of things, your using an 80mm filter and used a 70>80mm adapter? Any ideas what the length of your adapter is, as you have the filter sat perfectly.

Got any picture Luke? What's the length on your ally piece?

If you want it closer to wing you can do I have just connected the filter and silicone connector flush with each other as I think it looks better. My filter is smaller in height to a jetex too by the way...

My old leon had a 2.75" pipe - i think its just the basic ebay kit for 1.8t turbo cars.
Fitted quite well but needed a reducer silicone pipe.

Also battery box was cut to suit.

looked and sounded mint.
