Well I Bought This 03 Plate a week before my 17th birthday for my first car. i am currently taking lessons and tbh not close to passing as only been 17 just over a month. i bought it accident damaged for £450 which to me is dirt cheap. Here is what was wrong with it ...

As you can see not bad for the money i payed. especially for my first car. first my dad modifyed the timing chain guides as it had jumped and relapped the valves as no damage had occured. we also got the chain given by a neighboor which saved us money and changed the head gasket.
i then needed to buy a bumper, so i bought a facelift bumper from ebay which was only £97 from ebay. unfortunetly it wasnt the right colour so just had an estimate done and been quoted £80 which is including the paint. so that will be done in the next couple of weeks.

i then bought the drives side wing which was only £20 and luckily the same colour
and also found some nice 17" Devino alloys on ebay which i bought for £200 with 7.5mil of tread left and only 1 small kerb marking

as you can see it is a work in progress, and there is no rush to finish as not able to drive it for a few more months (N).

btw the interior is actually standard, the pink glow is my sisters electric corvette haha which we have put in the back as no room for it anywere else (N)

I think for a first car it will make you apprecaite it more - much more so than just spanking £8k on finance .... also you'll be able to service it yourself and fix any problems without needing an expensive garage bill.

definetly a bargain
i was lucky to get it tbh as i had to sell my 2 other cars to raise money for it (2 daewoo matizs) which were both off the road knackered basically and there was no enthusiasm to get it fixed were as i love working on my ibiza

ye, my dad has done a few accident damaged cars, and worked out alot cheaper in the long run.
plus the car is more to your taste aswell

I've repaired a few damaged cars before and have always saved thousands! Couldn't be bothered with my current Ibiza so just bought it undamaged

looks like a real bargain mate..... i take it ya dad is in the trade by the sounds of it, was it cat c or d.... were did you actully buy it from.. wouldnt mine doing a bit of accident damaged repairs to make a bit of money

ye mate, he works for the RAC, and just got it from a local auctions. it was cat C as it was stolen recoverd, but should be on road very shortly. just needs bumper painting and a headlight then ready for vic test etc...

i have just lowered mine now aswell, bought all 4 springs for £31 the back end dropped just over 50ml
looks loads betta now, not much left which needs doing now
