Jordan,

if you don't mind me asking, where in Leeds are you based?

I've got a feeling I've seen your car running around the Hyde Park area? Would love to have a better look at it.

Cheers,

Brett

I'm in Alwoodley! You may have, used to be around there quite a bit on a night at the end of summer.
im on my 2nd ibiza too

Oh yeah you had the red one

What you waiting for then?! For the sake of 300quid, I would sack off your 1.2 and get a pd130! Soooooooooo much faster and more powerful!

I knoww but its getting the money to buy the car in the first place i need! I'd have to sell mine then go get an FR, meaning i'd have no car for a bit!

Definitely a good excuse to borrow your mum's bf's Audi ;)

He actually said if all his contracts come through then he'll give me his Audi for my 21st (october)

I'll believe it when i see it though!

Just checked the insurance, 2k for me and my mum on a 56 FR TDI!!!! :ban:

Added my dad and it went down to £1700!!!

Maybe a little fronting it is order

Haha crikey! He either really likes you, or doesn't expect his contracts to come through

2k is quite dear. 1700 is still quite bad too. But to be honest, its worth it. Especially if you are coming from a 1.2 ;)

My LCR splitter wasn't quite looking right, so i moved it! (Passenger side wasn't as far forward as the drivers side!)

Also been pampering my wheels while they've been off.

They're absolutely covered in caked on tar!

Used to look like this

Now look like this :)

Look alright hey?

WRONG!

Better :)

They're still not 100% to my satisfaction so i'll be giving them some more lovin' tomorrow, need to try get the old wheel weight residue off!

The tar and iron was so baked on that the clay didn't touch it. The photo above of the iron X working was AFTER the wheels had been clayed!

Previous owner really didn't look after these very well :(

I'm also thinking about doing a DIY refurb on them in a nice Anthracite colour, only one wheel has kerb damage and the about 2 of them have an odd stone chip.

Isn't powder coating cr*p compared to spraying.

If it's done right it can be much better. You should be able to hit a powder coated alloy wheel with a hammer and the finish should stay intact (not flaking). The only problem with it as it can look a bit orange peely, but it's a small price to pay imo. Once you start painting, you have to do it every other year.

Yea mine are in need of another refurb already! Split rims are aweful! The paint has started to bubble from where the two piece rim meets! Think it wa cause I used AG custom alloy wheel cleaner.
