standard 1.8t judder, caused by MAF sensor failure or coil packs usually...although I am not a technician so could be talking complete plums!

that is usually the case.if you juddered and a light flashed on your dash, get it checked on vagcom.

i did and i found a fault about cylinder 2 misfire - meaning i blew a coilpack.

should be safe to drive, just drive carefully, dont gung-ho it to the garage

or if your brave, remove the plug to one coil pack at a time, if you have removed a good one you will get a change in engine note... the duff one will not change the engine sound/how its running. you can then double check its the coil pack by swapping it with the one next to it and seeing if the misfire has moved? if so you've eliminated the plug and any other nasty. buy a new coil from gsf (£28) and your away and saved diagnosis fee!

or ask some kind folk on here to pop over with vag com!

good luck chap

oh and its prob safer to turn the vehicle off between removing plugs to coil pack and restart! you'll know when you get the right one.

as suspected, coil pack!!

couldn't get anyone in milton keynes to look at it at short notice, so rang Total-VAG in Leighton Buzzard, expecting the same story, but they told me to bring it down as soon as i could, even though I told them it would be after 6pm, they stayed open for me, and did the job, sorted, in and out in 15 minutes, with a cup of tea to boot!!

really fantastic service that, and what really made me smile, was a local VAG specialist in MK who i spoke to, couldn't fit me in, were stacked out etc etc, well, i drove past them on my way, as they are near my work, and at 5.35, all gone home, lights off, porsche revved up...unbelievable!

well done Total-VAG, top class, would recommend...apart from the tea!! lol
