Just buying my first Leon..help required

Hi guys....and girls if there are any...lol

I'm planning on buying my first Leon shortly. I'm just wondering if anyone knows this car before i go through with it as i don't want to be lumbered with a nail.

The write up is as follows

no expense spared on getting this car to where it is today £1000'S spent very quick surprises lots of cars not for the faint hearted

seat leon 2001 1.8 turbo fsh hpi clear with check sheet to prove this orginally silver now matt white tax and mot

mods: exterior: black gloss roof/spoiler, -blue marble effect vinyl wrap on bonnet mirrors and wheels (must be seen to be appreciated) -18" alloys with nearly new tyres -smoothed body work and custom front bumper -vented and grooved brembo disc/ new pads -white leather seats and matching door cards -stage 2 remap by p torque increasing the power from 180 standard to 240bhp!! -new turbo fitted last year -custom decat and cupra r oval backbox -custom sprayed engine cover -uprated blue silicone crankcase breather and turbo intake pipe -jetex induction cone -recirculating dump valve get a good sound from this -front mount intercooler

couple of bad bits crack on front bumper from where was taking off to fit intercooler easily repairable with a bit of fibre flass then spraying -also mileage on clocks is temperamental comes and gos when it wants had this checked out for the tune of 400 with receipt fixed a wiring issue but for some reason effected the clocks but mileage fully backed up by old mot and service history

Make sure the chap has all paper work to prove the work done. Where was the new turbo from? Can belt date?
Check door cills for water links . Big fault with the Leon's , but can be fixed.
Does the car smoke?
Many threads on here of what to look out for .
These cars are normally getting a little tired at this age like mine was. May need a bit of money spent in her.
You haven't said where its from and the price asking.

its a straight swap for an MG ZS Turbo with pulsar T28 that i have at the moment. He values it at about £1800. Mine is about the same.

I actually forgot to put a pic up...lol but then i can't post a pic as i dont have enough posts yet.

oh and its on swapz which i know is a bit notorious for ropey cars

As I don't know the car , I can't really say anything. Just take aboard the lookouts I've mentioned or info on other threads. Theses are great cars when running fine. Pain in the arses when they aren't.

i'll have to take a look He says there is a puff of blue smoke when setting off from traffic lights etc so the turbo seals sound worn. He says its boosting at 22psi and holding at 19 so sounds alright there

New turbo will see you £400-500. Plus fitting . Sounds like quite alot of money for the car. Mines a auq engine with 102 k on the engine. Car has done 152 k . New gear box , can belt done 2 years ago and fully serviced every 5k. Revo stage 1 ( ready for stage 2 ) .Full leather and electric pack. Odd little dink , but overall good condition for a y plate.
Lowered, 18inch alloys decat and Lcr back box, fmic , catch can , all bypasses done, dyno twist induction kit, up graded mounts...... List goes on . Would never get £1800 for mine. If I did I'll rip there arm off. Don't jump the fun yet. Have a look to see what's on here. Give you an idea of what's worth what. Given also the turbo is on its way out!!!
