just got a 2ltr 16v

as title i just bought a 2ltr 16v today.

its red with 100k on it but has full seat history. managed to get it for £1300 which i felt wasnt bad as the car is quite tidy. the exhuast is blowing so im going to replace that with a ss full system. i think the oval style suits them and as its my everyday car i want a quiteish one. can anyone reccomend a make?

it also has the quad headlight conversion which isnt to my taste so i am looking at putting the front back to standard! does anyone know how much these sell for or does anyone with a red ibiza want to do a deal with the lights and grill?

as for the rest of the car its going to stay as it is apart from a good service!! ill post some pics up tomorro to see if anyone has seen it before or even owned it! i belive it came from the newcastle area!

I had Full Magnex System fitted to my Mk2 1999 Ibiza GTi 2.0 8v Cupra Sport and IMO it was quite loud and irritated me so much I put it back to standard.

As for the quad headlight and grill conversion ring up Seat as these are a dealer part and I think you will be surprised on how much they cost, they are not cheap! Or look here:

Ive had my 16v for about a month and i am thoroughly enjoying it, great cheap hot hatches. Ive found the mpg to be great, but then i had a 2.5 v6 before this.

Sounds exactly like mine as I had to do the same! I managed to swap my morettes with a lad on the forum and I bought a pattern centre box. My rear silencer is on its way out so I'm after a MK3 20vT exhaust as I can't afford this flashy SS stuff!

Best bet would be a swap with someone on the forum maybe?

facelift morettes are alot more expensive!

yes mate. having bought this ive found that the yellow one is much faster lol.

but ive bought the cupra as a everyday car and due to the fact ive always wanted one. as it was only £1300 its not a minter so im just trying to get it tieded up abit. yes it is a facelift model its r reg.

djboast - i did get it off the trader yeh. was in harrogate but i think it was a trade in!

oh and what mpg should i be expecting?

If I take it REALLY easy and go 75mph on the motorway than I get anything inbetween 31-34mpg. Town about 25ish mpg and if you thrash it than its definitelly not hard going below 20. Just dont rag it when its cold.
