always heard of bad things from quinn, a lot of my friends got pulled into the cheap provisional insurance thing... lol

umm I was 18 in Dec when I had my TDi FR and turned 19 in Apr but got a TDi sport now

cancelled with direct line and took a brand new one with elephant, put both my parents on it and it dropped £700, but their quotes are usually for 10 months !

are you getting quotes for a standard car?

I'm main driver with 2 parents as named driver,
fully comp

however I do live in a low risk area + private drive etc. so chops a little bit off it !
Do an online quote, then ring and find best deal ;)
otherwise get them to throw in breakdown, windscreen, legal or something...

nope!
I had been driving 1yr 6 months but only 1 yr no claims since I had to cancel my policy

funny thing is that VTS, cupra, FR, lupo Gti all petrol cars, mostly without turbo's they wanted minimum £1,600
Yet a turbo diesel is over £500 cheaper lmao!

EDIT
btw I've never been on hold for 35 minutes, usually really helpful and the people I talk to are very down to earth normal people and always joke etc.

EDIT
I have heard they are awful with whn you make a claim, but most insurance companies will all try to wriggle out of it
but then we hope that you aren't going to crash :D

well to put it in perspective when i got my first car 3 years ago, medium to low risk area, ibiza 1.2 65bhp :p £1666 that was with my mum on it was when i was 20, now 3 years on, 2 claims 0 ncb, FR Tdi with ALL mods thru admiral is £1086

you just have to hunt around and as phase said put on as many people as you can make sure their licence is clean. Ideally the older the better, and female is a bonus

their online quote just worked perfectly for me, it may be back up now ?

the excess is £250 compulsory since I'm under 21 and I put voluntary £500 lol...
so a £750 excess on this policy!

So it totals nearer £2000 if I make a claim

do you know they're actually open right now?
It should say our offices are closed right now or something
I don't think they'd be open at 10pm

I'ma student with part time job too so we;re basically the same people with same car? lol
you won't get under £1200 because it's prime season for new policies

All I can suggest is try shopping around then, these prices seem to be crazy
If you ring tomorrow see if they're willing to consider a sensible price?

quotezone
my money supermarket
confused
gocompare

try all them sites!

AdrianFlux
Brentacre

are two mod specialists

I'll see if I had any ideas in the morning, otherwise look at the insurance section here, must be another 18yo looking for reasonable quote
